Here is some raw footage of what it is like to attend an auto auction. You have to be registered. Police and security are at the gates. It is noisy inside. There are smokers galore, free popcorn, and foreigners from all over the world buying US cars for import/export. A 2001 Jeep Wagoneer II (?) was sold for 0 with about 101000 miles on it. The same vehicle on a car lot would go for between 4 and 00! I drove a 2001 Saab 93 with a turbo 2 and 1/2 hours, and wow, it flies. I drove out a 2006, or so, Ram 2500 3/4 ton Dodge 4×4 pickup and when I pulled out the plow almost fell out of the back of the truck. I slammed on the breaks and it came back in, and it took a real big guy and myself to right it. I then tied it down. www.lynnwayautoauction.com These auctions are probably reminiscent of the old livestock auctions run through fences and barns. The auctioneer craft is an art. I didn’t understand most of what went on. It is a complete zoo and I recommend earplugs and aspirin. I didn’t eat at there cafeteria, the food looked good, and most items were , beverage extra.
