Question by : How long will a towed car remain in the impound lot before being sold?
Our car was stolen before we got the title transferred over, and the previous owner refused to help us file a report (we couldn’t on our own) A week later, the car was towed and impounded. How long will they keep it in the impound before they sell it at auction? We live in California

Its a 30 day impound for the car minimum. Call the PD that nabbed it and see what the procedure is.
